Kevin Durant is not usually someone who hides from the press or is afraid to say what's on his mind, but for the last nine days, that's exactly what he has done.

It has been nine days since the last time Durant spoke to anyone in the media, and questions are now starting to surround the situation as to why.

There has been plenty of speculation that Durant is planning to leave the Golden State Warriors to join the New York Knicks this summer. Well, Durant has been actively avoiding the media since the Knicks dealt away Kristaps Porzingis in order to free up space for two max salary cap spots this summer, and many are wondering if there is a correlation.

Durant has been quiet all year about the topic of his impending free agency, at least in front of the media, but maybe this could change things.

Of course, Durant will have to speak eventually, especially if the Warriors go on to win their fourth title in five years. But it's safe to say you can expect the continued silence on his free agency, especially if it's a question involving the Knicks.
