Birmingham Bowl Betting Trends & Stats

- Memphis has gone 8-5 against the spread this season, while Wake Forest has struggled ATS with a 4-8 split on the year.

- The Demon Deacons have certainly been better at hitting the over than covering, going over in the total in seven of 12 games this season. But Memphis has been even better, hitting the over in eight of its 13 games.

- These two programs have met four times before, but each meeting occurred between 1964-1967 and the series split is tied 2-2.

Each Team's Best Win

- Memphis: vs. Houston (52-31) – Nov. 23

- Wake Forest: @ No. 14 NC State (27-23) – Nov. 8

Birmingham Bowl Prop Bets

All Birmingham Bowl prop bets and odds are available here via FanDuel Sportsbook.

- Away Team (Wake Forest) Total: Over 34.5 Points (-110) – Wake Forest can score the rock, but 36 or more points seems like a tall order, even against a reeling Tigers defense allowing 33 points per game this season. However, it's worth noting the Demon Deacons did score 56 points against each of their opponents with lower-ranking scoring defenses than Memphis (Rice, Louisville) this season.

- Home Team (Memphis) Total: 37.5 Points (-110) – Memphis comes into this matchup sporting the No. 8 scoring offense in the country, averaging a whopping 41.8 PPG on the season. And Wake Forest's defense is just as terrible as Memphis' offense is good, allowing 34.5 PPG – bad enough to earn them the No. 102 scoring defense in the land. The Demon Deacon defense has already crumbled against two, similarly-explosive Top-15 scoring offenses this season too, allowing 63 points to Clemson (No. 3) and 41 to Syracuse (No. 12).
