Game 1: No. 17 Villanova Wildcats (-7.5, -110) @ Pennsylvania Quakers, 7 p.m. EST
Even though this Philadelphia-based rivalry features at least one series clash in every season since 1955, Villanova has absolutely dominated as of late. The Wildcats have won 15 meetings in a row dating back to 2003, and they've also beaten Penn by more than 7.5 points in the last 12 meetings.
With a win tonight over Penn, Villanova will complete its sixth consecutive season with a perfect record in the Big 5. Amazing considering the Wildcats lost four players to the NBA.— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) December 11, 2018
The only concern? Villanova is 0-1-0 against the spread on the road this season, while Penn is 3-0 ATS at home and 2-0 ATS as a home favorite.
Game 2: Toronto Raptors @ Los Angeles Clippers (+5, -110), 10:30 p.m. EST
Toronto is the best team in the NBA straight up this season but a surprisingly-poor 12-15-1 ATS – the fifth-worst overall ATS record in the league. The Raptors are slightly better ATS as the road team (6-6-1), but the Clippers currently boast the second-best ATS home record in the NBA at 8-3 (72.7 percent).
Raptors asst. Adrian Griffin said ‘to the best of his knowledge’ Kawhi Leonard will be in lineup vs. Clippers. Asked about Warriors Wed; Griff said he didn’t know. https://t.co/SIdd8YLVGj— Michael Grange (@michaelgrange) December 11, 2018
However, the only bump in the road might prove Clippers guard Lou Williams' doubtful status
