The Denver Broncos took a brutal hit to their playoff chances with a 20-14 road loss against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The team had to deal with the loss of wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders earlier this week, thus allowing guys like Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, and Tim Patrick to have a bigger role in the offense.

Overall, Hamilton and Patrick were the main fantasy beneficiaries. They both finished with seven receptions, but Hamilton finished with a touchdown while Patrick had 38 more receiving yards.

All of this, however, was boosted by the quad injury that Sutton suffered. On the day, the former SMU played fewer snaps (51) than Hamilton (72) and Patrick (64) and was held to only two catches on six targets for a measly 14 yards.

Looking ahead to Week 15, the Broncos face the Cleveland Browns. Their young stud rookie cornerback Denzel Ward missed Sunday's game with a concussion, and if that's the case once again this week it'll be a much better matchup for Sutton, assuming he'll be fully healed from the quad injury.

Hamilton was probably added in most standard 12-team leagues last week, but Patrick could be an interesting add if we get worrisome information on Sutton's injury. Further making this decision a bit more difficult is the fact that the Broncos and Browns square off on Saturday night, which forces fantasy owners to make a quicker roster decision than usual.
