James White has enjoyed an outstanding season for the Patriots and fantasy owners alike. But when the latter needed him most, White was a complete bust in the fantasy football playoffs.

In the Patriots shocking loss to the Dolphins in Week 14, White only touched the ball six times. In case you were wondering, none of those touches resulted in anything big.

That's a total of 28 yards on four rushes and two catches. He was on the field a good amount for the Patriots, but they got Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman more involved this week.

So while Edelman and Gronk went off, White's production suffered. That's not what you want from a running back in the playoffs, and at this point, he's getting to be a bigger risk to play with Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead getting more involved by the week.

Michel dominated rushing touches for the Patriots, running 20 times for 57 yards against the Dolphins. Burkhead had four carries for two yards and a catch for three yards.

Clearly, White is still involved in the Patriots offense, but he might only be valuable in certain matchups. Keep a close eye on that before starting him moving forward.
