Derrick Henry has been a huge disappointment thus far for those who were hoping he would break out during his first year as a starter. However, a change could be on the horizon.

Henry hasn't officially broken back out yet to get in the good graces of his fantasy football owners but the opportunity could be growing. After a solid few performances for the young running back, he's showing signs of promise as his touches are increasing.

Henry had more carries than backfield mate Dion Lewis for the first time since Week 6 and the third time all season.

That could be a sign of things to come for Henry.

This doesn't seem like a one-week wonder type of thing from Henry as offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur said he has earned more carries thanks to his play lately. Henry has still yet to break off more than 60 yards in a game this season, but that could change if he gets touches as his yards-per-carry has been increasing.

With more touches than Lewis and more touchdowns this season, Henry is establishing himself in fantasy football. Better late than never.
