Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is an absolute monster on the football field. Even in a narrow defeat to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, he threw for 478 yards and six touchdowns, quickly becoming his own statistical anomaly.

After that mega-performance in primetime, Mahomes is now on track to set another NFL single-season record.

Mahomes was on pace to break the touchdown record earlier in the year but cooled off a bit in Weeks 4 and 5 with only one touchdown in those two games. Now, with a potential ketchup award on the line, Mahomes has picked up his play. He'll need to throw 18 touchdowns over the last five games of the season to tie the record.

Hard? Yes. Impossible? Not for Mahomes.

The second-year stud has also become one of the highest-value fantasy pickups of all time. In fact, he might just be the best fantasy quarterback of all time.

That's about 27 points per game for those of you scoring at home. On the season he already has 3,628 yards and 37 touchdowns and a completion percentage of 67.5 percent.

With two games against the Raiders left on the schedule, it's a real possibility that he'll break Manning's record and set new NFL and fantasy marks for others to chase after.
