It wasn't supposed to be this easy to fill J.T. Barrett's shoes, but Dwayne Haskins has done an incredible job as Ohio State's starting quarterback this season. Unfortunately, it looks like 2018 will be the only year that Buckeyes fans will witness Haskins' greatness.

According to recent reports coming out of Columbus, Haskins is expected to declare for the 2019 NFL Draft at the end of the season. It's a pretty surprising move, considering he's barely been the starter for one full season.

The redshirt freshman has exceeded expectations in his first year as the Buckeyes' starting QB and has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, ranking in the top 10 of almost every passing category in the nation.

It's a risky move on Haskins' part to declare for the draft with just one year of work on his resume, but you can't fault him for striking while the iron is hot. His stock is at an all-time high and the 2019 quarterback class isn't as deep as in previous years.

As long as he has a good showing during the pre-draft process, Haskins could hear his name called on the first day of the 2019 NFL Draft.
