No Joe Mixon out here right now as the team finishes up stretching. Wasn't on injury report yesterday.— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) November 15, 2018
For most who are even remotely familiar with Mixon and his time at the University of Oklahoma, they are likely also familiar with the off-the-field baggage he came with when Cincinnati took him in the second round.
Not in portion open to the media. Should get the official injury report between 2 and 3. https://t.co/37VsCXK9jc— Jay Morrison (@JayMorrisonATH) November 15, 2018
And with all five players who were limited with injury issues earlier in the week returning to the field today without a trace of Mixon in sight, it certainly raises questions about his absence.
All five players who were limited by #Bengals yesterday are back participating today: Burfict, Dennard, Redmond, Rey, Ross. Only player out yesterday who is upgraded today is Kirkpatrick. And for some reason, no Mixon.— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) November 15, 2018
However, Mixon was officially listed as a limited participant with a knee injury in upon the Bengals' injury report released later Thursday afternoon,
#Bengals Joe Mixon was listed as limited with a knee injury today. Wasn't participating at the beginning of practice open to the media. Was in the locker room after.— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) November 15, 2018
Mixon's early absence and limited status certainly don't bode well for a Sunday performance at 100 percent. So, we'll just have to wait and see what happens leading up to Cincinnati's game against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend.
