Joey Bosa is one of the NFL's brightest young defensive stars. Many believed he was a legitimate defensive player of the year candidate coming into the season. Unfortunately, a lingering foot injury has kept the Bosa off the field this season. Luckily, things may be about to change.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Bosa returned to Chargers practice Wednesday afternoon. Albeit, he's practicing in a limited capacity, but it's an encouraging sign for the third-year defensive end.

Bosa still needs to get back into football shape before he can truly make an impact on the field, but Bosa's return will provide a significant boost to the Los Angeles' defense both on the field and in fantasy football.

The Chargers' stop unit has been good to start this year thanks to an already-dangerous pass rush that has tallied 26 sacks this year, the fourth-highest total in the league this season. Adding a premier pass rusher like Bosa into the fold only makes the Chargers' defense fantasy stock skyrocket, Based on the team's remaining schedule, this could be a borderline elite defense for the remainder of the season.
