Disgruntled Houston Rockets forward Carmelo Anthony is in the news again, and it looks like he'll get his way for once.

According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Rockets have denied waiving the former All-Star, but two sources close to the situation have informed Melo that he'll no longer be a member of the team.

Is anyone really surprised? After all, Melo was reunited with former head coach Mike D'Antoni, a relationship that never mirrored the one Joanie and Chachi had.

If you were counting, this is now the fourth bridge that Melo has burned in his NBA career. He has now had stints with the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and this vacation-length stay with the Rockets.

Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said, "We're evaluating everything," but also said that it's "extremely unfair" that Melo is being singled out. This could simply be a ploy to be nice for the time being, and then everything will be revealed at a later date.

All in all, it'll be difficult for Melo to find a landing spot once he finally departs Houston. You have to wonder how many contending teams will want to include a proven virus like him into their locker room.
