After a slow start to the season, Duke Johnson finally returned to fantasy relevance thanks to a breakout Week 9 performance in which he saw a season-high in targets. That's great news for Johnson's owners, but should this be a cause for concern for Nick Chubb owners going forward?

It could be at face value, but recent trends show otherwise.

Not to discount what Johnson did this past weekend, but Chubb might be the better running back to own in Cleveland's backfield thanks to the overwhelming amount rushing attempts he's had the past three weeks.

Volume always equals production for runnings backs and the fact that Chubb's seen more carries than his backfield-mate the last three weeks is very encouraging.

Duke Johnson still has significant value in PPR leagues thanks to his usage out of the backfield and the recent uptick in targets, but Chubb might be the better start if you have to choose between the two.

Though it is clear this backfield will be pretty much split so matchups will play a role.
