Chris Thompson has been a frustrating fantasy option in recent weeks, thanks most to his inability to stay healthy this season. Unfortunately for his owners, they may have to wait a little longer before they can start him with confidence again.
According to Yahoo's Brad Evans, Thompson missed practice once again Thursday afternoon, implying that his status for Washington's tilt with the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday is doubtful at best.
Thompson started off the year on a hot streak in PPR leagues and looked like a weekly PPR-FLEX option, based on his usage on passing downs. Unfortunately, a rib injury that kept him out for two weeks and Adrian Peterson's late-career renaissance sent Thompson fading into fantasy irrelevance.
Third-string back Kapri Bibbs is expected to assume third-down duties if Thompson is unable to play, but he's just a speculative add at best. Owners in need of a bye-week streamer may want to look at someone like Devontae Booker, Ty Montgomery or Ito Smith as alternative pickups. They're not the best options available, but all three have solid FLEX appeal in PPR leagues.
