5 Best Prop Bets for Dolphins-Texans Thursday Night Football Game

The Thursday night matchup features the red-hot Houston Texans hosting the Brock Osweiler-led Miami Dolphins. After starting 0-3 and almost watching their season slip away, the Texans have come roaring back with a four-game winning streak. The Dolphins sit one game behind the first-place New England Patriots in the AFC East, and can ill afford to fall behind any further.

Let's take a look through some of the best props heading into this intriguing primetime matchup.

5. Houston D/ST to Score a Touchdown (+360)

The Texans defense has a lot of playmakers at every level of their defense. Dolphins quarterback Brock Osweiler has been known to throw his fair share of untimely interceptions, so a pick-six isn't out of the question here. Houston also has ferocious pass-rushers Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt, who both have the ability to get to the quarterback and force a strip sack fumble on any given play. Not to mention, the Texans and their head coach Bill O'Brien know all the weaknesses of Osweiler, after spending 2016 with the Texans.

4. DeAndre Hopkins to Score 2+ Touchdowns (+550)

DeAndre Hopkins and his quarterback Deshaun Watson are finally starting to hit their stride  during the Texans' current four-game winning streak. During that time, Hopkins has three touchdowns and is averaging 108 receiving yards and 18.7 FanDuel fantasy points per game. For a Dolphins defense that has surrendered five passing touchdowns in their last two games, giving up two to one of the NFL's best receivers is a highly-likely potential outcome.

3. DeVante Parker to Score a Touchdown (+400)

DeVante Parker has been sidelined for a while, but he returns this week to a depleted receiving corps. It's basically down to him, Danny Amendola and Jakeem Grant. Parker's talent has always been there, and given his agent's comments this week, he could be more motivated than ever to prove his worth. Expect Osweiler to be looking Parker's way early and often.

2. Lamar Miller First Touchdown Scorer (+600)

Lamar Miller finally found his way back into the end zone last week against the Jaguars. This week, he goes up against a Dolphins defense that is ranked third-worst in the NFL against running backs, allowing 118 rushing yards per game. Having a chance to face his former team, expect Miller to be running the ball with a purpose Thursday night and find his way into the end zone for the game's first score.

1. Houston Texans Win and Score Over 44.5 Points (+150)

The Dolphins and Texans have scored at least 20 points in each game over the past two weeks. Given how bad the Dolphins defense has looked lately, you might assume this game would turn into a bit of a high-scoring affair as both teams have big-play options on offense. With the Texans as hot as they are, taking them to win along with the over seems like a solid bet.
