It's no secret that the NBA has a bit of a parity issue, which is why it's not outlandish that some teams are favored by an overwhelming margin tonight. There are five games on Monday's slate with double-digit spreads, and while that might seem like a big number, these contests are total mismatches.
Here are the most heavy favorites on tonight's slate of NBA games.
5. Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz (-10.5)

Home teams are usually heavy favorites, but a 10.5-point spread might be too much for the Jazz to cover. Both teams in this matchup are 1-1 against the spread and, although the Grizzlies are struggling offensively, Utah is averaging 120.5 points against this season. If anything, this game could end up being more of a shootout than a blowout.
4. New York Knicks at Milwaukee Bucks (-11)

The Bucks are sitting pretty near the top of the Eastern Conference with a 2-0 record so far, but they don't exactly have the most favorable matchup against the Knicks. While New York is 1-2 on the year, the Knicks have lost both games by just two points and are currently 3-0 against the spread this season. The Bucks may come away with the win tonight, but this tough Knicks squad is more than capable of keeping them from covering.
3. Sacramento Kings at Denver Nuggets (-11.5)

While 11.5 points is a pretty big spread to cover, no matter the opponent, if any team could do it tonight, it's the Nuggets. The Kings are allowing 130.7 points per game in the early going and the Nuggets have held opponents to 95.7 points a game this season. Combine that with the fact that Denver has a perfect record against the spread this season and this one might as well be a slam dunk.
2. Orlando Magic at Boston Celtics (-12)

Considering the Magic have already lost one game this year by 32 points, it's easy to see why the Celtics are so heavily favored. However, I wouldn't count on Boston to cover so easily. Orlando is currently 2-1 against the spread this season and lost to the 76ers, another Eastern Conference contender, by just one point in their last game.
1. Phoenix Suns at Golden State Warriors (-12.5)

Who else would you expect to be the biggest favorite of the night? The Golden State Warriors are the class of the NBA and are slated to take on a Phoenix Suns team that just lost their last game to the Nuggets by 28 points. Normally, it's hard to bet on a team favored by that much, but it's pretty much a no-brainer here.
