[This list will be updated each week of the NFL season, keeping track of the best and worst teams to bet on against the spread.]

There's just one team that remains perfect against the spread through six weeks and they no longer have a perfect record on the field. Despite being handed their first loss on Sunday Night Football in Foxborough, the Chiefs remained perfect in the betting world as they covered the 3.5-point spread, losing by 3.

Thank the gambling gods for that hook, and that half-point win.

The Lions, coming off a bye, have won against the spread in four of their five games, despite a 2-3 record on the field. The group behind Detroit consists of four teams that seem to still be in flux, but winning two-thirds of your games against the spread is still a good thing for bettors.

On the other side of the coin, the Houston Texans are 1-5 ATS and the Denver Broncos sit at 1-4-1.

Until they lose against the spread, it seems like a smart play to bet on the Chiefs to cover.
