San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert took the nation by storm on Monday Night Football by rushing the ball 12 times for a team-high 87 rushing yards against the Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately, he didn't find the end zone, but it appears like fellow running back Alfred Morris is now out of the mix.

While Matt Breida is still the 49ers starting running back, Mostert looks to have leap-frogged Morris with the veteran playing just one snap in last night's game -- an eight-yard rush that was called back on a holding penalty.

The duo of Breida and Mostert combined for 148 rushing yards on 26 carries and a touchdown -- that coming from Breida.

The writing may be on the wall for Morris, who has never been known for his versatility. The 49ers really only signed him out of desperation when Jerrick McKinnon went down for the season with a torn ACL. Without Morris in the lineup, the team simply looked more explosive.

With the 49ers season all but over, look for Mostert to get every opportunity to prove himself in the coming weeks. Make sure you get your waiver wire claims in on this guy as he's a likely FLEX play moving forward.
