The much-anticipated revenge game between the Patriots and Chiefs is coming to the national stage on Sunday Night Football. While these two offenses have superstars left and right, there is one particular matchup that jumps out. Tight ends Travis Kelce and Rob Gronkowski.

Arguably the two best tight ends in football, both with polarizing personalities, only adds fuel to this matchup fire. While they compare in ways off the field, it's on the field that we're here to discuss. Let's take a look at the numbers so far this season.

Kelce: 28 receptions, 407 yards, 3 touchdowns

Gronkowski: 23 receptions, 308 yards, 1 touchdown

Both started the year slow, but Kelce has clearly had the better statistical year thus far. Being a focal part of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid's offense run by quarterback Patrick Mahomes definitely pays dividends and Kelce has reaped them.

When it comes down to tonight, you have to consider more than just the numbers. The Patriots themselves had a slow start to the year as well, but they've been on a rampage to get their respect restored ever since.

The Chief's defense is one of the worst in the NFL and the Patriots, as we mentioned, have revenge on their minds. Only one quarterback under the age of 25 has come into Gillette Stadium and walked away with a win during the regular season, Colin Kaepernick.

Mahomes could see his first sign of struggles tonight. Pair that with the fact that Kelce is not his favorite target on his team, you have to give the edge to Gronk here.

While the Patriots do have a bunch of explosive weapons on offense as well, unlike Kelce, Gronk is his quarterback's favorite target. If you have to rely on Brady to get the ball to his leading man over Mahomes to his second or third choice, give me Brady and those odds all Sunday night.
