Fantasy owners can't catch a break with Le'Veon Bell this season.

The superstar running back has been holding out the entire season so far to keep his body healthy so he can get a big deal next year. Even with the good news of his potential return following the team's Week 7 bye, it may not even be the Bell we all know and love.

The Pittsburgh Steelers could potentially use Bell and Conner together as a running back by committee.

For Bell and the Steelers, it makes sense. For fantasy football owners, it's terrible news.

You never want to have a first-round pick turn into someone who splits carries, especially when it's with a player like Conner. If he has the hot hand, Pittsburgh could continue to use him on the ground while using Bell in the passing game. Or they could alternate possessions.

This is all speculation, but it could make sense for the Steelers. Bell's issue is he doesn't want to be overused in the season before he hits free agency. He also had two of his worst games when he first came back from another holdout from last year, so there's no guarantee the Steelers can afford to wait around while he gets acclimated.

Fantasy owners have to be kicking themselves for thinking Bell was the right pick early in the draft. At this point, he might not even have much trade value around your league.
