San Fransisco 49ers running back Matt Breida has done a fantastic job filling in for Jerrick McKinnon, who tore his ACL before the season even began. Unfortunately, it seems that the second-year back may miss time with a knee injury of his own.

Breida, who's nursing a hyperextended right knee, is considered a game-time decision for the Niners' tilt with the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Knee injuries are always tricky, but there's a good chance Breida finds himself starting on Sunday afternoon. He suffered the injury during San Francisco's Week 3 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but was able to return to the field and finished the day with 10 carries for 90 yards and 3 receptions for 27 yards.

However, there's a distinct possibility that the Niners will play it safe. Fantasy owners should keep a close eye on Breida's status on Sunday morning and, if he doesn't suit up, Alfred Morris would be an RB2 in his place.
