When players who play the same position in football are touted in a game as "going up against each other," it's often not really a true head-to-head because they're not defending oner other. There's no real way for players at the same position to face off in a real football game, but it's very simple in the world of fantasy football.

We're in a golden age for wide receivers right now with more fantasy studs than many people know what to do with. So why don't we throw some of them against each other and let's see who gets the most fantasy points in Week 4?

First, we have Antonio Brown and Keenan Allen facing off in a matchup that has Brown slightly favored.

And here's how they matchup statistically this year.
Brown: 42 targets, 24 receptions, 210 yards, 2 touchdowns
Allen: 26 targets, 17 receptions, 219 yards, 1 touchdown

As the odds show a pretty even matchup with Brown getting more targets, but Allen hauling in deeper passes and thus tallying more yards so far this year.

Odell Beckham Jr. vs. Michael Thomas is the most fun matchup here because they're actually playing each other this week, meaning all the points will be accrued in the same game. Here's how they stack up this season.

Beckham Jr.: 34 targets, 24 receptions, 271 yards
Thomas: 40 targets, 38 receptions, 398 yards, 3 touchdowns

They both have close to the same amount of targets, but Thomas has just done significantly more with the balls thrown his way.

Finally, we have the biggest odds difference of the three with DeAndre Hopkins taking on Julio Jones. So far this season, the two have the same number of receptions, but that's really where the comparisons end.

Hopkins: 32 targets, 20 receptions, 274 yards, 1 touchdown
Jones: 34 targets, 20 receptions, 329 yards

This one is the biggest surprise in odds since both of these players project fairly similarly, but Jones also hasn't scored a touchdown since November 2017, so that may have something to do with it.

No matter how you slice it, all three matchups should be close and exciting to follow once Sunday rolls around.
