This is the start the Dallas Mavericks were hoping for or forward Harrison Barnes.

After tweaking his right hamstring in practice, Barnes will be out for "a while." Coach Rick Carlisle said there's no current timetable for this return.

The Mavericks subsequently ruled Barnes out of the first four preseason games and said he will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days. Of course, hamstring injuries are something that takes time to heal, and you don't want to rush back quickly, so that reevaluation period may not mean he's returning.

Barnes averaged 18.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists last season in just over 34 minutes a game.

If you're drafting soon, Barnes should still be a middle-round pick, but keep in mind that hamstring injuries are tricky and could extend into the regular season.
