Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper will likely be on the move this offseason, potentially getting the first $400 million payday in the history of Major League Baseball. Everyone wants to know, where's he going? Here are the five most likely landing spots for the All-Star.

Bryce Harper has spent his entire career with the Nats, and they've done everything they can to make him the biggest star in baseball. They haven't won a World Series title, but they've been in position for several seasons. Perhaps familiarity is what Bryce wants. Or perhaps he searching for something new.

Harper could very well join the mass migration of superstar athletes to Los Angeles if a few different things play out. It would likely take a new-look roster to afford him without sacrificing talent elsewhere, but can you imagine Harper and LeBron James in the same city?

Harper grew up as a fan of the most historic franchise in MLB history, and the Yanks have never been shy about opening up the wallet. The Yanks did just land outfielder Giancarlo Stanton via trade last season, and Aaron Judge is locked in right field for the foreseeable future. But if a generational-talent like Harper wanted to nudge his way into The Bronx, I'm sure accommodations would be made.
2. Philadelphia Phillies

The Phils are the most financially-flexible team in baseball going into this offseason. There's a lot of talk around the league that they likely land Harper or Manny Machado, and getting both is a possibility if they can work out the dollars and cents. ESPN's Buster Olney said a few months ago that he would "bet the farm" on the Phils landing one of the two mega-superstars, and Harper is the more likely of the two.

Harper has a lifelong friend in Kris Bryant on the Cubs, so don't underestimate the comfortability factor here. It's scary to think about a lineup that features Bryant, Harper, Anthony Rizzo, Javy Baez, Willson Contreras. Of course the Cubs would have to pay big money to keep all those stars together, but in a town like Chicago, that's a distinct possibility.
