Despite boasting the second-best odds to win the College Football Playoff and the No. 3 overall spot in the latest AP Top 25 Poll, the Clemson Tigers offense has quietly been battling out a starting quarterback competition between senior Kelly Bryant and freshman Trevor Lawrence through four weeks.
But that battle came to a decisive end Monday morning, with the younger star Lawrence being named the starter moving forward against Syracuse for Week 5.
