It looks as if the Jaguars will be giving starting running back Leonard Fournette another week to heal that ailing hamstring. Although Fournette has yet to be officially ruled out, his game-time decision status isn't looking good for him to be on the field.
The #Jaguars haven’t ruled out RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) yet, but he has an uphill battle to play, source said. Meanwhile, RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) and CB Jalen Ramsey (ankle) should both be fine, I’m told. Fournette will have to prove a lot pregame to get on the field.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 23, 2018
Fournette, who injured himself in the Week 1 game against the Giants, has been out since the initial setback. T.J. Yeldon has filled in nicely since, and despite nursing an ankle injury himself, he looks to be the starter going into the divisional matchup against the Titans.
One other guy to take a look at here is Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles. There have been four instances where Fournette hasn't suited up, and Bortles has thrown for over 300 yards three of those times.
No Leonard Fournette is a boost to Blake Bortles as QB streamer & #Jaguars WR corps vs #Titans.— Evan Silva (@evansilva) September 23, 2018
In Fournette's 4 career missed games, Bortles has:
376 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT
326 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT
259 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
330 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
If you're a fantasy owner of any Jaguars' players, you will have to monitor this one all the way up until kickoff.
