The Ole Miss Rebels came into Saturday afternoon's battle with Kent State at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as 28-point favorites, but it doesn't look like any of those points are coming from a home-field advantage variable.

At least not from the Ole Miss student section.

At that kind of capacity, the roar of the crowd that normally charges the home team's electricity could quickly backfire and become quiet enough to hear any of the fans' comments on a single disappointing play.

Sure, the Rebels got spanked at home by No. 1 Alabama last week, but it's not like Ole Miss is fielding a DIII team out there this season.

One thing is for certain, you have to like Kent State's chances to cover a spread or even live odds for an upset if the stadium still looks as barren as this through halftime.
