Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer is finally throwing to hitters again off a mound. Well, at least practice hitters.

It's now been just over a month since we've seen Bauer on any mound after he was placed on the disabled list with a stress fracture in his right ankle suffered on Aug. 11.

However, the Indians look like they could be getting their ace back into the rotation at the right time heading into late September.

With a 2.22 ERA and 12-6 record through 25 games, the 2018 season was the best statistical performance for Bauer to date through his seven seasons in the majors.

Simulating innings with practice batters isn't exactly the same as taking on a playoff lineup six innings deep during October, but it's an exciting sight to see Bauer throwing from the bump again.
