Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen suffered an ankle injury in Monday’s 24-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks. The injury, much to the delight of Cohen fantasy owners, does not appear to be anything serious.
Head coach Matt Nagy reiterated this sentiment, basically saying there were no concerns about Cohen’s ankle.
Breathe easy Bears fans and fantasy owners alike.
Cohen has gotten off to a slow start this season, and much of that is due in part to fellow Bears running back Jordan Howard becoming more involved in the passing game -- something he's never done before. With Howard becoming a reliable option in that facet of the game, naturally, that takes some food off Cohen's plate.
Going into the season, it looks as if Nagy's super-charged offense was going to put Cohen in advantageous spots to succeed. I don't think it's time to hit the panic button after Week 2, but it might not be a terrible idea to try and trade for Howard if you haven't handcuffed him with Cohen already.
