The Green Bay Packers' struggling backfield is finally getting some much-needed help this upcoming weekend.

According to Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, running back Aaron Jones will soon be activated to the team's 53-man roster.

Jones missed the first two games of the season due to a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

The Packers are off to a good start to the season, but their running game is in need of some serious help as they enter Week 3 of the season.

Ty Montgomery and Jamaal Williams, who have held down the backfield in Jones' absence, have averaged a combined 3.79 yards per carry through Green Bay's first two games.

Jones is by no means a game-changing player, but his presence in the backfield gives the team an effective change-of-pace option to keep opposing defenses on their toes.

Green Bay's backfield is too crowded for Jones to be immediately fantasy relevant, but a waiver wire flier on him could pay huge dividends as the season goes along.
