Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has finally been medically cleared to play in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts. The good news comes less than 24 hours after the Eagles, 27-21, loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving the defending champs at 1-1 to start the season.

Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles has gotten off to a slow start in 2018 – despite throwing for 334 yards and a touchdown yesterday, most of that was in comeback mode when the Eagles were trailing significantly. In Week 1, Foles only threw for 117 yards with an interception.

The hope is Wentz can insert some energy into an Eagles lineup that has been devastated by injuries early on, mainly at the wide receiver position.

Last season, Wentz had his breakout season with 35 total touchdowns (33 passing, 2 rushing) and led the Eagles to an 11-2 record before going down for the year.

The Eagles are currently six-point favorites against the Colts, and you have to think Lincoln Financial Field will be going crazy for the return of their superstar quarterback.
