Being a Baltimore sports fan has been tough recently. The Orioles are the worst team in baseball, sporting a 41-104 record this season, and the Ravens missed the playoffs thanks to a  Week 17 loss to tonight's opponent, the Cincinnati Bengals. Perhaps, tonight will be different.

Game 1: Oakland Athletics (-184) @ Baltimore Orioles (+162), 7:05 p.m. EST

The Oakland A's have won eight of their last 10, including six in a row. It's hard to bet against a team vying for the top AL Wild Card spot when they take on the cellar-dwelling Orioles.

The A's activated Brett Anderson from the DL for tonight's start at the Oakland Coliseum, where he's 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA in five starts this year. Oakland also hasn't lost to Baltimore yet this season, racking up five wins in five chances.

Game 2: Baltimore Ravens (-104) @ Cincinnati Bengals (-108), 8:20 p.m. EST

On the football side of this parlay, it's a straight pick em. While the Bengals were favored by 1three points over the Ravens when the lines originally came out, bettors have shifted the line so all you have to do is pick a winner.

The Bengals have won seven of the last nine in this matchup and QB Andy Dalton threw for three touchdowns and no interceptions when these teams met in Week 17 last season. Ravens QB Joe Flacco has also struggled mightily at Paul Brown Stadium.

One thing that's in the Ravens favor is the Bengals inability to play in primetime. Marvin Lewis is 8-31 over the past 15 seasons, including the postseason, and Dalton is 5-19 in those games.

With the AFC North lead on the line Thursday night, I'm ignoring the alleged primetime "curse" here and simply like the home team in a divisional game.
