Unless you have a must-start wideout like Antonio Brown, DeAndre Hopkins, or Odell Beckham Jr., setting your fantasy lineup is no easy task. Especially when one of your receivers is facing an elite secondary and/or fantasy defense.

This weekend is particularly tough for anyone who owns WR2s like Sterling Shepard (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars), Jordy Nelson (vs. Los Angeles Rams), or Marquise Goodwin (vs. Minnesota Vikings). However, when you break it down, the answer is a bit more clear.

Nelson looks to have lost a step and should struggle to get open against former All-Pros Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib. Goodwin will also be facing off against an All-Pro in Xavier Rhodes, meaning he is bound to be held in check too.

But Shepard, facing off against cornerback D.J. Hayden on the Jaguars defense, is in a position to thrive come Sunday.

The Jaguars do have two All-Pro corners on the outside in Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye, but their defense could be vulnerable over the middle now that Hayden is manning the slot. Hayden, who can be generously described as a mediocre defensive back on his best day, has been one of the worst cornerbacks in football since he entered the league in 2013.

Needless to say, Shepard owners have to be salivating over this matchup. Expect the third-year wideout to be the X-factor that pushes the Giants and your fantasy team toward victory this weekend.
