The Seattle Mariners are falling fast in the AL Wild Card race but should get a huge boost this weekend.
Pitching hasn't exactly been the team's strong point as they find themselves ranked 18th in team ERA. One man who has been a huge asset to the team is expected to return from the disabled list.
After another positive bullpen session, Seattle's ace, James Paxton is on track to return from the DL.

This is huge news for everyone hoping Seattle can make a playoff push and even bigger news for Paxton fantasy owners.
It's hard to understate Paxton's importance to the Mariners. He leads Seattle starters with a 3.68 ERA, is second with 10 wins, and is first in strikeouts with 176. Despite missing time after a comebacker bounced off of his forearm during the first inning of his Aug. 14 start, he's still currently the 16th ranked pitcher in fantasy according to ESPN, and the 59th player overall.

The swelling has subsided in his forearm, and he's on target to return as the ace of this staff this weekend.
