For the third time this season, Jose Bautista appears to be on the move.

He was cut by the Atlanta Braves after just 12 games earlier this year after hitting an abysmal .143, before being picked up by the New York Mets and hitting .207 in 82 games. Now that the Mets placed him on revocable waivers, a third NL East team wants a shot at the former slugger.

Bautista would most likely just be an extra right-handed power hitter for the Phillies to use through the stretch run. It's unlikely he'll be on the playoff roster come October. Still, despite the fact that the Mets placed him on waivers, they're not going to let him go for free.

While it'll surely be more of a return than most Mets fans thought they'd get from Bautista, it's not going to be a lot. His slash line this season is .199/.340/.368 with an OPS of .708. He also has 11 HR and 42 RBI. Teams aren't exactly falling over themselves to get aging right-handed hitters that are batting below the Mendoza line.

Fantasy wise this is a non-starter. Bautista has been awful for most of the year and you have plenty of better options to start over him. Maybe it helps out opposing pitchers, but that's matchup-based anyway.
