Saquon Barkley is back!

After making it through 7-on-7 drills during Monday's practice, the Giants No. 2 overall pick is officially practicing in full, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.

For anyone who's already drafted their fantasy team or is simply intrigued by the elite talent that Barkley is, this first-ever NFL injury was a bit worrisome. The back was hobbled by a strained hamstring in practice about 10 days ago and hadn't practiced since. This coming on the heels of an impressive start to the preseason where Barkley averaged nearly 11 yards per rush.

Barkley has been a consensus first-round draft pick in fantasy leagues this season, and for good reason. The rookie out of Penn State is coming off a season where he rushed for 1,271 yards and 18 TDs while hauling in 54 receptions for 632 yards and 3 TDs. Thanks to the Giants lack of running back depth outside of Barkley, he's primed to rack up fantasy points on a weekly basis in 2018.

So while the hamstring injury was an early road bump, Barkley should be a safe bet in the first round of fantasy drafts.
