The 49ers suffered their second straight loss in Week 7, this time at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite playing in his normal amount of snaps, head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that star wideout Deebo Samuel suffered a hamstring injury in the game.

Deebo Samuel Injury Update

While Shanahan doesn't seem to be too alarmed by the injury and considers Samuel day-to-day right now, it's never comforting hearing one of your most prolific players is dealing with a potentially nagging injury, something hamstrings have a reputation to be.

Samuel might be limited or out of practice early this week while the team asses the injury, giving Samuel some time to rest and recover in an effort to get him on the field in Week 8. The 49ers got a big offensive boost with the acquisition of Christian McCaffrey last week, but now that same offense could take a hit if Samuel can't go.

Samuel has had a down year compared to his breakout season last year. He has suited up for every game this season, but has just 32 catches, 387 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The 49ers are 1.5-point road favorites in their Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
