Whether you're a believer in Jimmy Garoppolo or not, it's clear the San Francisco 49ers need to add talent at quarterback this offseason. At the very least, they'll need to bring in some more competent backups.

One of their first moves at the position does not exactly inspire much confidence, as San Francisco is bringing in Joe Flacco for a visit.

There's a lot more quarterback talent available than there usually is at this point in the offseason, so it's surprising to see Kyle Shanahan showing interest in Flacco this early.

Flacco hasn't been good recently. And that's putting it kindly. He made four starts last year, posting a passer rating of 80.0 while more sacks (7) than he had touchdowns (6). At this point, it's unclear whether he'd be a legitimate upgrade over last year's backup, Nick Mullens.

If he does end up in San Francisco, 49ers fans will have to hope Jimmy G can finally stay on the field.
