4 Tom Brady vs Patrick Mahomes Prop Bets for Super Bowl LV

Super Bowl LV will pit two top quarterbacks against each other as Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs face Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. These QBs will be at the center of deciding this game, which is reflected in the odds to win Super Bowl MVP.
For bettors who want to pay particularly close attention to the Brady vs Mahomes matchup, here are four prop bets available, per odds from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Tom Brady vs Patrick Mahomes Prop Bets for Super Bowl 55
1. Most Passing Yards (Mahomes -155; Brady +120)
The opening odds for this prop favor Mahomes, but this could be one of the closest calls of the Super Bowl. Kansas City's QB was second in the league this season with 4,740 yards, but he was followed closely by the third-placed Brady (4,633). Both teams have unique weapons, whether that's Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce for the Chiefs, or Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski for Tampa. This game will be a shootout, so either QB could end up with the most passing yards when it's all over.
2. QB to be Sacked First (Mahomes -125; Brady +100)
Mahomes (23) and Brady (26) took almost the same amount of sacks this season, so neither QB appears to have an "advantage" there. However, this prop will likely be decided by the defenses, and that's when things clear up. Tampa averaged the fifth-most sacks per game (2.9), while Kansas City was in the bottom half of the league at 2.1. With the Chiefs facing serious injury problems on their offensive line, the Bucs are an easy choice to get the game's first sack.
3. QB to Throw First Interception (Mahomes +155; Brady -145)
Brady's struggles with interceptions this year have him as the clear favorite in this prop. He threw 12 interceptions in the regular season and is coming off of a 3-pick game in the NFC Championship. Brady has thrown 38 interceptions across 44 career postseason games, so it's clearly a trend for TB12. Meanwhile, Mahomes threw only 6 INTs in the regular season and has 0 picks in this year's playoffs. He did register 2 interceptions in last year's Super Bowl, though.
4. QB to Throw a Touchdown Pass First (Mahomes -140; Brady +110)
This prop will likely come down to who gets the ball first, given how electric both offenses are. In a bounce-back season for Brady, he posted his most TDs (40) since 2007. Mahomes was close behind with 38 passing TDs. Brady led the Bucs to an opening TD in the NFC Championship, while Mahomes and the Chiefs didn't score until the second quarter of the AFC Championship, but both QBs are a threat to throw the first touchdown of Super Bowl LV.
