Little has gone right for the Tennessee Volunteers this season. They are currently on a five-game losing streak after winning their first two matchups to begin the year. With two games remaining, and both against top-10 opponents, there's little optimism remaining.

Adding a further blow to the team's future, 4-star cornerback prospect Damarius McGhee has decommitted from Tennessee, announcing the news on Twitter on Thanksgiving.

McGhee had committed to the Vols in July, picking them over offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Miami. He is a top-100 player in his class, ranking 87th overall and 8th among cornerbacks, per 247Sports. LSU, Ole Miss, Miami, and Georgia are expected to pursue the corner given his new availability.

Tennessee now has 26 commits from its incoming class. That freshman class is still ranked in the top 15, but it remains to be seen if the Vols' struggles will motivate more roster movement.

Tennessee will face No. 6 Florida on Dec. 5 and No. 5 Texas A&M on Dec. 12 to close out their season.
