The Houston Rockets came one game away from the NBA Finals in 2018 and then failed to beat the Warriors without Kevin Durant for the last game and a half of the series in 2019. That second round loss has prompted massive potential changes in Houston, as reportedly every player on the roster is available for the right price.

The player that seems most likely to be on the move based on early reports is Clint Capela. The Rockets big man had a career year this season averaging 16.6 points per game (PPG) and 12.7 rebounds per game (RPG), but was held in check during the series against Golden State.

With all that in mind, here are three potential landings spots for Capela if Houston elects to deal him this offseason.

The Magic have a young, potentially promising roster, but they could use another big man, preferably one like Capela who can clean the glass. While Nikola Vucevic led the way with 12.0 rebounds per game this season, the only other player who averaged more than seven boards was Aaron Gordon. There's also a chance Orlando could lose Vucevic in free agency this offseason, furthering the need for another big man, especially with 2018 first round pick Mo Bamba not developing as fast as they'd hoped. Stick Capela's production in for Jonathon Isaac's 9.6 PPG and 5.5 RPG and you've got yourself a pretty formidable squad next season.

2. Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers were the biggest surprise of the 2018-19 NBA season and will look to build on that success this offseason. After so many trades during the year, Los Angeles was left without much down low, which led to them starting JaMychal Green and Ivica Zubac in the playoffs. That team still managed to take Golden State to a Game 6, so imagine if they had Capela to anchor the roster. He would immediately fill one of the team's biggest needs.

3. Dallas Mavericks

The Rockets have reportedly already begun talking to Dallas about a potential trade involving Capela and taking a look at Dallas' roster, it's clear to see why. The Mavs only have Dwight Powell and Salah Mejri as their options at center right now and potentially Kristaps Porzingis if he can get healthy. Capela fills a massive need by bringing rebounding and defense, something Dallas lost when they traded away Deandre Jordan in the trade for Porzingis last February. A roster built around Luka Doncic, Porzingis and Capela would look pretty good even in the hyper-competitive Western Conference.
