The New York Jets kick off their season with a divisional game, facing the Buffalo Bills. The Jets are heavy underdogs in this one, with the odds expecting them to open the season 0-1.

It would be surprising to see the Jets pull off the upset, but it is week one and anything could happy. There's certainly crazier things that could happen during the game. With that in mind, these are three bold predictions for the Jets against the Bills.

3. Jets Put Up 100 Yards More Than Last Season's Average

The Jets ranked dead last in the league last season for total yards, and 273 per game. This bold prediction is saying they put up at least 373 yards against a tough Buffalo defense. The Jets invested heavily in their offensive line this offseason, both through the draft and in free agency. In other words, Sam Darnold gets the best protection of his career, and he will use it to lead a terrific Week 1 performance. Does Adam Gase actually know what he's doing? We'll find out.

2. Frank Gore Matches Last Season's Touchdown Total

Don't look now, but this is the Frank Gore revenge game! Okay, maybe he's not exactly out for revenge against his former team, but he did say he could have ran for 1,000 yards last season if Buffalo played him more. He totaled just two touchdowns last season, which he could match in Week 1. Gase loves him and is giving him a prominent role in this offense. Running behind this rebuilt offensive line, Gore could look like the greatest 37-year-old running back the league has ever seen.

1. Jets Give Up Josh Allen's First 300-Yard Game

Josh Allen's career has been highlighted by his passing inconsistencies, but this Jets defense should help him out. The traded away their best player, in Jamal Adams, then saw their second-best player, C.J. Mosley, opt out of the season. Buffalo, meanwhile, continues to invest in the supporting cast around Allen, giving him Stefon Diggs this offseason. They will look to build Allen's confidence early, and he could put up his first career 300-yard day.
