After a surprisingly hot start to the season, the Seattle Mariners now find themselves in the basement of the AL West at 25-38.

The Mariners have already started a fire sale of veterans with the recent trade of Jay Bruce, and they're likely to deal a few more players leading into the MLB Trade Deadline on July 31. One such name that could be on the move is Mariners' third baseman Kyle Seager.

Here are three third baseman-needy teams that can go after Seager ahead of the 2019 MLB Trade Deadline.

The New York Yankees are more likely to go after starting pitching, but with the season-ending injury to Miguel Andújar, a third baseman may also be in the cards. Anthony Rendon has been rumored, but the older and less productive Seager would demand less of a prospect package from the Yankees. Even though Gio Urshela has filled in admirably (.329 batting average in 2019), Seager could provide a nice upgrade at the hot corner.

2. Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays are humming along in the AL East, but could always use an extra bat to add to their young lineup. Tampa Bay currently has Yandy Diaz at third base, who also logs time at first base and DH. Seager would provide a lefty option at the hot corner, while also giving the Rays a veteran presence in the locker room.

The Dodgers have a lot of options on offense, but with an injury prone Justin Turner at third base, adding Seager to the mix could make a lot of sense. It could create a possible righty/lefty platoon between Turner and Seager, while providing some needed rest for the oft-injured Turner. If the trade works for both clubs, we could be seeing an all-Seager left side of the infield in Los Angeles later this summer.
