The 2022 NFL Draft isn't exactly filled with superstar-quality quarterback prospects, but Ole Miss' Matt Corral is one of the names at the position that does stick out.

Corral truly stepped up his game over his final two seasons with the Rebels, amassing 493 completions over 23 games for 6,686 passing yards and 49 touchdowns to 19 interceptions. He may not be projected as a first-round pick, however, he has more than enough talent to be a starting NFL quarterback one day.

Here's a look at the three most likely teams to draft Corral later this week.

Matt Corral NFL Draft

1. Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks entered a new era when they traded franchise QB Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos this offseason. They're unlikely to use the No. 9 pick to draft a QB due to the lack of standout prospects, however, it'd be a great idea to use No. 40 or 41 on Corral in the second round. The Seahawks are entering a rebuild, which means they could take their time and develop Corral before throwing him into the limelight. There's also the fact that the QB would be given two elite pass-catching weapons in Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, which should make succeeding a lot easier. Corral has already been linked to the organization in several mock drafts, which only adds to the likelihood of this happening.

2. Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons are another team that traded away their franchise quarterback this offseason. New starting QB Marcus Mariota isn't the type of player that teams build around, which is why they could take a swing on Corral with the 43rd overall pick. The Falcons have already met with Corral at the start of April, so there should be some interest there. Waiting to take Corral would also allow the Falcons to use Pick No. 8 on a different positional need, rather than using it on a QB they may not love. Besides, if Corral can reach his potential, Atlanta could be taken seriously again much sooner than later.

3. Detroit Lions

Even though most experts project Corral as a second-round selection, it wouldn't be a shock if the Detroit Lions took him before Round 1 ended at No. 32. Yes, Jared Goff will be their starting QB in 2022, but there's no guarantee that he'll be in Detroit in 2023 or beyond. The Lions have a solid group of budding wide receivers and could use a talented quarterback prospect like Corral to pair with them. Besides, drafting Corral opens up the door for the Lions to save over $20 million by cutting Goff next year, which allows them to flesh out the rest of the roster.
