The 2022 NFL Draft has come and gone, and all 32 franchises will now turn their attention back toward the free-agent market to shore up their rosters. Jadeveon Clowney is the crown jewel of the remaining free-agent group, as he put together a strong campaign for the Cleveland Browns in 2021.

Here are the three best destinations for the 29-year-old now that the dust has settled on the 2022 NFL Draft.

Jadeveon Clowney Free Agency

3. New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints pushed their chips all-in for what feels like the 100th season in a row. GM Mickey Loomis traded next year's first-round pick to snag another first this year, then traded that pick to move up to select Chris Olave. Nothing says you're in win-now mode like making a run at Jadeveon Clowney, and don't forget, New Orleans tried to get him a few years ago. Clowney would be an excellent fit in a pass-rush rotation with Cam Jordan and the oft-injured Marcus Davenport, who Clowney could be insurance for.

2. Los Angeles Chargers

Unless Clowney is willing to join up with a team on the outskirts of the playoff picture like the Carolina Panthers or Houston Texans, he might have a hard time landing the big-money deal he's surely looking for. But the Los Angeles Chargers have the sixth-most available cap space in the league, so they're one of the few teams that can offer Clowney real money and a chance to win. He'd be a fantastic fit in a rotational role with Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, allowing LAC to keep all three fresh, and he could bump inside in obvious passing situations to form a scary pass-rushing trio.

1. Cleveland Browns

Re-signing with the Cleveland Browns feels like the most likely outcome here, though. The Browns have $27 million in available space, so they'd have no trouble inking Clowney to a sizable one-year deal. And depending on what happens with Deshaun Watson, 2022 is the year Cleveland might actually be a Super Bowl contender.
