Evan Fournier is one of the better wing players and shooters available on the free-agent market this offseason. NBA free agency begins at 6 p.m. on August 2, and there should be a handful of suitors vying for the 28-year-old guard's services.

Let's take a look at three potential teams that could sign Evan Fournier.

3. Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics acquired Fournier at the trade deadline last season, but early reports are the two sides are far apart on a contract extension. It would be tough for Boston to lose Fournier for nothing, despite not giving up much to get him. With this being Brad Stevens' first offseason as a GM, it's tough to predict how he will handle this situation. Bringing back Fournier makes sure he remains an asset given Boston doesn't have much cap flexibility to sign a replacement, so Boston is still a real possibility.

2. New York Knicks

The New York Knicks have been heavily connected to the Celtics guard in recent days. With more money to spend than any other team (projected $52.6 million), the Knicks have the ability to give Fournier what he wants financially, and there is apparently mutual interest in a pairing between the two. Fournier provides another scoring wing and shooter, something that has and will remain a high priority in the Knicks' offseason plans. He might not be their first choice, but he's definitely on New York's short list.

1. Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks will also have a good chunk of money to spend, roughly $33.5 million, which is good enough for third-most in the NBA. The team's starting shooting guard, Tim Hardaway Jr., is also a free agent, and while there have been rumors he wants to return to Dallas, it's no guarantee. Fournier would provide a solid replacement, and even possibly an upgrade. Fournier had a slightly better FG and 3PT percentage last season. If Hardaway walks in free agency, expect the Mavericks to be heavily targeting someone like Fournier.
