3 Most Likely Destinations for Zack Greinke at the MLB Trade Deadline

As the July 31 MLB Trade Deadline quickly approaches, rumors surrounding Arizona Diamondbacks' ace Zack Greinke are heating up. However, there are a few obstacles that could prevent a potential trade. Greinke is in year four of a six-year, $206 million contract, and he reportedly has a no-trade list that could impact a few potential deals.
With that in mind, here are three possible trade destinations for Greinke at the MLB Trade Deadline.
1. Philadelphia Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies are reportedly on Greinke's no-trade list, but there's still a chance that they can pull off a deal. Aaron Nola is currently the Phillies' only starter with an ERA below the 4.00 mark, so Philadelphia could use an upgrade to its rotation. Pitching a 2.93 ERA with 123 strikeouts in 21 starts this season, Greinke could fill a much-needed hole for Philadelphia.
2. Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves are reportedly not on Greinke's list, so that's one roadblock out of the way. Despite signing Dallas Keuchel back in June, the Braves' starters still rank in the bottom half of the NL in ERA. Atlanta's offense is loaded, averaging 5.29 runs per game (No. 6 in MLB), so adding Greinke could make the Braves legitimate World Series contenders.
3. Milwaukee Brewers
Zack Greinke was with the Milwaukee Brewers from 2011-12, and a reunion could make a lot of sense. The Brewers' rotation might be the team's biggest weakness, posting a combined 4.71 ERA (No. 18 in MLB). Just two games behind the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central, adding Greinke could help Milwaukee make a legitimate postseason push.
