Coming off a narrow win in Week 1, the Los Angeles Chargers host the Kansas City Chiefs in their new stadium. However, the reigning champs had a long week to prepare, after playing last Thursday, which contributes to them being road favorites in the game.

With a strong defense facing a strong offense, no outcome would be terribly surprising. With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for the Chargers against the Chiefs in Week 2.

3. Austin Ekeler Totals 150 Yards

While Austin Ekeler was, at times, overshadowed by rookie Joshua Kelley, the Chargers came out and said that they are committed to Ekeler being the lead back. With that in mind, we could see a performance that is very similar to that of David Johnson against the Chiefs last week, since both are talented dual-threat backs. Ekeler ripped the Chiefs last season in the receiving game, totaling 17 catches for 151 yards over his two matchups. This should be key in contributing to his big day.

2. Tyrod Taylor Passes for 300 Yards

With Ekeler being so involved in the passing game, Tyrod Taylor should benefit and turn in a big day too. The odds tell us that the Chargers will likely be trailing as well, leading to a positive game script for this passing game. Tyrod passed for 206 yards in Week 1, but left a lot on the field. A 300-yard day would be his first since 2016.

1. Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa Combine for Three Sacks

The elite pass rush duo of Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa had a large impact in their Week 1 win, but they recorded only one sack. Still, Bosa’s three quarterback hits tell us about how often he was in the backfield. Patrick Mahomes was sacked once and hit three times in Week 1.
