The Green Bay Packers made the NFL Playoffs for the third consecutive season in 2021, but failed to reach the Super Bowl once again. The team has made just one appearance in the big game with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and head into the offseason surrounded by question marks.

Of course, no one truly knows whether Rodgers will be back with the team next fall or whether All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams will re-sign. The front office needs to make some moves to re-shape this roster in order to keep up with the competition no matter what happens, though.

Here are three free agents the Packers need to sign to make a Super Bowl run next year.

Green Bay Packers Offseason Moves

1. Sign A.J. Green, WR, Arizona Cardinals

Signing a wide receiver should be a top priority for Green Bay with or without Davante Adams on the roster. Allen Lazard and Marquez-Valdes Scantling combined for just 943 yards working as the No. 2 and No. 3 options this past season. That is simply not going to get the job done in today's air raid NFL. Meanwhile, veteran wideout A.J. Green enjoyed a bounce back season with the Arizona Cardinals. He racked up 848 yards and scored 3 touchdowns on 54 receptions while averaging a reliable 15.7 yards per catch. At 33 years old, Green is likely looking to join a Super Bowl contender. That makes him the perfect target for a Green Bay team that is set to have almost no cap space available.

2. Sign Everson Griffen, DE, Minnesota Vikings

The Packers' cap space issues may cause them to part ways with a defensive lineman during the offseason. It makes sense given Za'Darius Smith ($27.6 million) and Preston Smith ($20.9 million) come with such high price tags. However, it's not like the team can go out and sign the top pass rusher on the market. Finding an impact contributor for cheap is the best way to go here and that is where Everson Griffen comes in. The four-time Pro Bowler quietly posted 5.0 sacks and 1 forced fumble in 9 games played with the Minnesota Vikings in 2021. Signing the 34-year-old would only cost the team a few million dollars against the cap and solve one of their roster needs at the same time.

3. Sign Jared Cook, TE, Los Angeles Chargers

A reunion with tight end Jared Cook should definitely be on the table for the Packers this offseason. Every fan remembers the catch he made during Green Bay's epic playoff win during the 2016 season. Not only that, but Cook is still playing some of the best football of his career. The 13-year pro hauled in 48 passes for 564 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2021 and scored 7 touchdowns back in 2020 as well. Starting TE Robert Tonyan is set to be a free agent and Rodgers is going to need as much help as he can get in the passing game. Cook's size 6-foot-5, 250 pounds) makes him a red zone mismatch every single play. He is an underrated free agent that could get picked up for a low price tag.
