3 Free Agent Wide Receivers the Packers can Target to Make a Super Bowl Run in 2021

The Green Bay Packers had a strong season, but it ended in disappointment with a home loss in the NFC Championship game.
Now it's time to move on for the 2021 season and target some players to help the Pack get back to the Super Bowl. Packers elite All-Pro WR Davante Adams completes his 4-year, $58 million contract at the end of the 2021 season. Green Bay can add a top free agent this year to complement Adams or be prepared should he leave Green Bay for more riches in 2022.
Here are 3 free agent wide receiver the Packers should target.
3. Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions (UFA)
Kenny Golladay is one of Pro Football Focus' top 5 free agents this offseason. The big 6-foot-4-inch receiver played just 5 games in 2020 due to a hip injury, but produced back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons the two prior years playing in the Packers division. PFF notes the size and athleticism of Golladay and his ability to catch the ball when contested. Golladay is in line for a big payday from his current $800k per year average salary and is a target worth pursuing for the Packers.
2. T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts (UFA)
Hilton can still play and produce at age 32. He could be a major contributor for QB Aaron Rodgers in the short to intermediate area as an effective slot receiver. Hilton's quickness and ability to turn the corner on speed outs is still a strength. The veteran receiver can really attack defenders' blind spots and get open with his elite route running. Hilton won't command the big contract he's been earning at nearly $13 million per year, and perhaps the Packers would add him for 2-3 years.
1. Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (UFA)
Godwin showed his elite skills against the Packers in the NFC Championship game. He had some big catches and grabbed a team-high 5 balls for 110 yards. Godwin is a big-body receiver who has really produced in his last three seasons with at least 840 yards each year. That despite missing four games in 2020 with 65 receptions and two games in 2019 when he racked up 86 receptions for 1,333 and 9 touchdowns. Teams will have to open up their wallet as Godwin is going to rise from $800k per year to mega millions. The 24-year-old weapon will be a top free-agent target and the Packers could land an elite receiver for MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
