The 2019-20 NFL season went about as expected for the Arizona Cardinals, finishing 5-10-1 (W-L-D) and last in the competitive NFC West. Quarterback Kyler Murray, last season's first overall draft selection, showed plenty of promise in his first NFL season, passing for 3,722 yards and 20 touchdowns while running for another 544 yards and four touchdowns.

While the rookie quarterback looked poised and capable of being a starter at the pro level this year, there were times where he was getting little help from some of the players around him in Arizona. The Cardinals must build around their young franchise quarterback this offseason, and that starts with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Here's a look at three players Arizona could target to help build around Murray next April.

3. Jedrick Wills Jr., OT, Alabama Crimson Tide

Jedrick Wills Jr. is one of the best offensive linemen in this year's draft class. Wills is a powerful right tackle with a proven SEC track record who appears poised to contribute immediately. He also excels in the run game, which is an area where the Cardinals saw noticeably increased success after trading for running back Kenyan Drake in late October. As an experienced, successful player in Alabama's program, Wills would likely be a great selection to help solidify the offensive front, especially in protection for a dual-threat QB like Murray who finished last season tied with Matt Ryan and Russel Wilson for the most sacks taken (48).

2. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama Crimson Tide

Regarded by many as the top wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jerry Jeudy has all the makings to be a top wideout at the next level. He has elite athleticism and route-running capabilities that firmly place him in the conversation to be the next great Alabama wide receiver, following in the impressive footsteps of Julio Jones, Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley. Jeudy also has a well-developed route tree that has made him look practically unguardable at times in college.

1. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma Sooners

CeeDee Lamb is a player Murray is very familiar with, as the two are former teammates at Oklahoma. In his sophomore season with Murray throwing him the ball, Lamb caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 11 touchdowns. He improved upon those numbers this season after replacing Marquise Brown as the top WR option in Norman, finishing top 6 in the country in receiving yards (1,327), touchdowns (14) and yards per reception (21.4). While some may consider Jeudy a higher-graded talent in a vacuum, Lamb's established chemistry with Murray could give him the nod over Jeudy to pair with him in Arizona if both WRs are still on the board come the No. 8 overall pick.
